Why Retire to the Philippines

Why, you say?

Because everything we need for our retirement is over there!

• the cost of living is affordable
• the climate is mild (not too hot/not too cold)
• living is “safe and secure” (like anywhere in the world)
• the people speak English, no need to learn a new language
• people are friendly, hospitable, warm and somewhat “Westernized”
• the main religion is Christian, so there are no dietary laws to observe
• the country is lovely and the night life in the city is alive
• so many more other reasons!

This little country seems to be the best place for retirement!

MEDICAL FACILITIES IN METRO MANILA

Thank God Simon and I are both healthy, and so far, we have not required any major medical care in life.  But we know that retiring age starts at about 62 when people will start getting all the ailments brought about by age.

Naturally, when we start looking for a retirement place in the Philippines, we would like to find a place where there are ample medical care facilities nearby.  We would like to make sure that there will be a hospital we can come to, in case a problem arises.

So once again, I did my research in this area, which will quell our fear of not having any medical facilities to run to.  When we retire in the Philippines, we would like to be peaceful and calm, relaxed and confident that our health is in good hands.  And here are some of my findings.

This only shows that when we retire in Metro Manila, or in any of the cities within it, modern medical facilities are going to be easily within reach, should we ever need one.

Doesn’t it feel good that we have choices?  Now we know that we will be okay when we are there!
