Why Retire to the Philippines

Why, you say?

Because everything we need for our retirement is over there!

• the cost of living is amazingly affordable
• the climate is mild (not too hot/not too cold)
• living is “safe and secure” (like anywhere in the world)
• the people speak English, no need to learn a new language
• people are friendly, hospitable, warm and somewhat “Westernized”
• majority of the people are Christian, so there are no dietary laws to observe
• the country is lovely and the night life in the city is alive
• so many more other reasons!

This little country seems to be the best place for retirement!

We have just presented a study of Metro Manila –

All these information will allow us to make a decision regarding our retirement in the Philippines.  Shall we choose a city or rural life retirement?

But the study is not over yet; that was only Metro Manila.  We will find out about other cities in Luzon, Visayas (the middle island), and then in Mindanao (the third island).

Please take note that we are taking small steps as we evaluate the Philippines as our choice for retirement.  There is no room for us to make a mistake in our choice.  It will be our place of retirement; we will be staying there for years… or until the end!

This is why we are taking the whole country apart, and making sure that we found what we liked, and we will be happy where we will be.  We are not in a rush to find our ideal place; we are looking at every nook and cranny.  We are checking all aspects of each place.

Please be patient with us and please stay with us, so you will see the whole picture.  If you are new to this site, please start from the beginning to grasp the whole idea of what we are doing here.

We are trying to find the best place to retire – after we have already decided that this place shall be in the Philippines.  Why we have focused on the Philippines have been explored in our earlier posts.
