I am so excited to research more on the Philippines and to find out the possibility of retiring there. Imagine how much we can save living there, based on my previous post! By the way, you shouldn’t miss the coming posts because the will now be concentrating on the Philippines. We will find out if, indeed, this will be our place for retirement! Here goes more:

Where is the Philippines?
Those green dots represent the islands that comprise the Philippines.
For those who are not familiar with the Philippines, it is located on the “other side of the world!” The Philippines is located in southeast Asia, an 18-hour flight from America.
Why would I travel that far for retirement?
That would be your first question.
A lot of Americans and other nationalities have been slowly immigrating to the Philippines for the past several years.
Today, the Philippines has a large population of Americans and people with American roots, as well as a burgeoning Amerasian (American-Asian) population.
The total number of US citizens living in the Philippines is more than 250,000, although rough estimates state that at least 1% of the entire Philippine population is of American descent.
Let us find out the reasons why people are willing to travel that far just to retire in the Philippines. There must be a lot of good reasons, right? That is what we are going to find out… see you later!
