Why Retire to the Philippines
Why, you say?
Because everything we need for our retirement is over there!
• the cost of living is amazingly affordable
• the climate is mild (not too hot/not too cold)
• living is “safe and secure” (like anywhere in the world)
• the people speak English, no need to learn a new language
• people are friendly, hospitable, warm and somewhat “Westernized”
• majority of the people are Christian, so there are no dietary laws to observe
• the country is lovely and the night life in the city is alive
• so many more other reasons! This little country seems to be the best place for retirement!
MABINI, BATANGAS
Batangas is a well-known province in the south. Now, Batangas is making itself a landmark of tourism. One of these so-called “tourism landmarks” is the town of Mabini. Two and a half hour drive from Manila to the municipality of Mabini, this town is indeed the cradle of amazing marine life. In Mabini, you can’t help but fall in love with its awesome resorts, magnificent views and its breathtaking blue waters.
Mabini is everything in the palm of your hand in which you can enjoy to the fullest with less budget – from cheaper resort to luxurious one. You can also enjoy its delicacies and different dishes of freshly caught seafood.
This is certainly the perfect place for adventure. You can enjoy mountain hiking and reach Mabini’s highest peak, where you can see the perfect view of the all the greens and blues combined. You may also want to discover and be amazed while experiencing the underwater world by scuba diving or simply by snorkeling. You may also feel awed with the thousand species and corals found in the waters of Mabini displayed in their museums and of course enjoy the sea and the sun through swimming, jet skiing, and windsurfing.
Whether you are with your friends or family, Mabini is the perfect place for sharing moments even for a romantic getaway. Enjoy its facilities like swimming pools and Jacuzzi from different Mabini resorts. God-made landscape and man-made resorts had made this town more than a paradise indeed.

Aguila Beach Resort is in Anilao, Mabini, Batangas in Philippines. It is about 3 hours drive from Manila. If you are commuting via public transportation—take a bus heading to Batangas. This is about 90 minutes. You then need to take a jeep ride for another 90 minutes. Those wanting to go and visit Anilao as destination, would find this place heavenly. The short drive from Metro Manila is convenient for a day tour or few days stay. Staying few days, you might want to take some time seeing the world from beneath. This paradise has great underwater views—diving would be what I assume people would go for. If not, a weekend getaway would be great too? Almost like a getaway from Sydney and you are staying in Newcastle. – asimplecreation.com

Scattered around are groves of trees, left to grow in their natural habitat, that frame the view from each of the decks of the nipa and bamboo cottages.

Open everyday and all year round, Balai offers SCUBA diving and other sports equipment to guests who are out to discover the wonders of another world under the sea. – myphilippines.info
